Vernon Henderson was an outstanding two-way lineman player/coach for 1966 Terriers. – Four year starter for the University of South Dakota. – Team Captain and North Central Conference Lineman of the year in 1974. – Named to the University of South Dakota Hall of Fame and lineman of Decade 1970’s. – Kodak All-American in 1974. – Selected to play in the 1974 Lions American Bowl. – Free agent pick by Green Bay Packers in 1975. – Fourteen year veteran Youth League Coach. – U.S. Army Vietnam veteran decorated with purple Heart, Bronze and Sliver Stars. – Professional Wrestler with the NWA, WCW and WWF. – Assistant Coach of Terriers from 1994 till the present; six years as a volunteer coach.
