Roger Adams was an All City, All County, All Star (Shrine Bowl – Hillsborough County vs Polk County); All State, All Southern-1941 Football player for the Terriers. He attended U.F-1942, US Navy, UF-1944. He was a Member of the Dad’s Club, which put up the first poles, lights and concession stand in the HHS football stadium. Most members of the Dad’s Club were TECO employees; therefore, TECO was persuaded to donate the poles and provide the installation equipment. In addition, Mr. Adams was an active charter member of the HHS Alumni Association. He worked for TECO until he retired and moved to North Carolina.
