Anthony Puglisi was a two year letterman, Right Guard for the Hillsborough High School Football Team where he won honors for All-City, All-Western Conference, Honorable Mention Team All-State, Dick Clewis Award for Best Blocker, Junior Lions, Jolly Boys and “H” Club.

After his football career concluded, Anthony served in the U.S. Navy. His duties while in the Navy included working within highly dangerous Catapults Crew aboard the famous World War 11 Aircraft Carrier Ticonderoga. Upon discharge from the Navy, he worked for more than 30 years before retiring from the United Parcel Services of America. He married to the 1960 Miss Hillsborean, Shiela McClendon.
