Derrick Edmonds was a Tailback on the Hillsborough High School Football Team where he gained 1,436 yards and scored 23 touchdowns during his senior year. He led the Terriers to an undefeated regular season in 1995 and the District Championship. The 10-0 regular season record was the first undefeated season in Hillsborough County since 1981. His honors include a 3 year varsity letter winner, Derrick was named to the 1st team 6A All-State team in 1995 and Guy Toph Award winner. He earned a full scholarship to the University of Tennessee where he played as a defensive back for four years. Derrick graduated from Tennessee in 2000 with a degree in Business and currently resides in Tampa with his wife.
