Billy Turner was the Hillsborough High School Football Head Coach from 1968-1973 and 1976-1978. He is the winningest high school football coach in Hillsborough County history with 220 victories. Third winningest coach in Hillsborough High School history with 50 wins. From 1963-1967 he was a HHS Assistant Football Coach. In 1968, his first year as a head coach Turner brought Hillsborough its first undefeated season since 1946. After his first stint as a Hillsborough High School Football Coach he left to become an Assistant Coach at the University of Tampa from 1973-1974. He later became the Athletic Director for the University of Tampa in 1975. From 1979-present Billy Turner has served as the Chamberlain High School Head Football Coach where he lead his 2001 team to the Class 5A state finals.
